Surplus packaging for Australian production lines

Check surplus bottles, jars, closures and other packaging against your filling line, product and quantity requirements. View the packaging lots currently listed on Surply.

Match the component to your line

Surplus packaging is useful when the physical component fits the job you need it to do. Start with dimensions, material, capacity and the supplier's component specification. For a bottle or jar, check the neck finish and compatible closure rather than relying on a photograph. Pumps, liners, seals and dispensing parts can change how an apparently similar pack performs. Confirm whether a sample or a line trial is needed before committing to a quantity. A familiar appearance does not establish interchangeability with your current component.

Check decoration, condition and intended use

Record whether the packaging is undecorated, printed, labelled or carrying another brand's artwork. Establish what can actually be used without relying on an unconfirmed relabelling or cleaning process. Check whether cartons, bags and pallets have been opened and whether there is damage, contamination or a storage condition that matters for your product. Obtain the evidence your own quality process needs for the intended contact or application. A surplus listing and a seller's description are not a certification of food, cosmetic or pharmaceutical suitability.

Plan around the available quantity and freight footprint

Packaging can occupy substantial space even when its material weight is low. Confirm units per carton, cartons per pallet, pallet dimensions, total quantity and any minimum purchase or split conditions. Agree what will be collected and who supplies the transport packaging. Surply listings are ex-works: collection is arranged between the businesses, with the buyer responsible for its carrier. Use the disclosed region to begin planning and confirm the necessary collection details through the permitted conversation. Freight, handling and any line trial belong in the buying decision alongside the component price.
