Free to join and free to list. Sellers pay a success fee when a deal is agreed. Buyers pay nothing at any point.
When you agree a deal with a buyer who found you through Surply, we invoice you 5% of the agreed value, plus GST. The rate slides down on bigger deals and stops entirely at $2,500. That is the whole commercial model. There is nothing else to buy and nothing else to decline.
From 5% + GST
Minimum $250 · capped at $2,500
Banded the way tax brackets are. A $50,000 deal pays 5% on its first $20,000 and 3% on the rest — not 3% on the whole thing.
| Deal value | Rate |
|---|---|
| First $20,000 | 5% |
| $20,001 to $50,000 | 3% |
| Above $50,000 | 2% |
| Minimum fee | $250 |
| Most you can ever pay | $2,500 |
All plus GST. On a deal under $5,000 the $250 minimum applies instead of the percentage, so a small lot costs more than 5% to sell. That is the one place the fee runs above the headline, and we would rather you read it here than find it on an invoice.

Four deal sizes, and the invoice you would get from us for each. Chosen to show the schedule doing each of the things it can do: the minimum biting, the bands, and the cap.

Prices on listings are in Australian dollars and exclude GST unless a listing says otherwise. Our fee is calculated on the agreed value of the goods, before GST.
You can list a hundred batches and pay nothing. The fee arises only when you and a buyer agree to trade.
5% on the first $20,000, 3% to $50,000, 2% above that, and never more than $2,500 however large the deal. A big trade should not cost you a percentage that only made sense on a small one.
The fee is payable when you agree a deal with a buyer who was introduced to you through Surply, whether or not you record the deal here. You are never required to trade on Surply, and we do not hold you to us.
If you already trade with the buyer, say so when you list, or within 5 business days of their first enquiry, and no fee applies. We introduced nothing, so we charge nothing.
An introduction counts for 6 months from the first enquiry, for that lot of material. After that it lapses.
Once a deal is agreed we send you a tax invoice for the fee plus GST, payable within 7 days. The buyer receives nothing from us and owes us nothing.
You invoice your buyer and they pay you directly, on the terms the two of you agree. Surply holds no stock and no funds. The only money that moves through us is our own fee.
Neither is required to sell, and neither is a subscription. You buy one once, it does what it says, and it stops. Nothing is ever added to your account without you choosing it.
The fee is part of the terms of trade. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you list: info@surply.com.au.
